The Golden Bird

The Golden Bird

Once upon a time, in the town of Taxila, there lived a King Rupert and a Queen Genelia. They had a very beautiful daughter named Nia. The princess was so beautiful that even angels adored her. She had long golden hair. Her cheeks were rosy. Her eyes were blue and her lips were as red as strawberries. The King and Queen loved their daughter very much.

One day when Princess Nia was playing with her friends in the garden, she heard a very sweet voice.  It was the voice of the Golden Bird. Princess Nia had never seen such a lovely bird before. When she went ahead to touch it the bird flew away. Nia tried to catch her but could not. She had liked the bird so much that she wanted to keep it with her in the palace. So she requested her Daddy, the King, to get her  the Golden Bird.

The King ordered his soldiers to find out the Golden Bird and bring it for Nia. Soldiers searched for many days and finally found out that the bird belonged to the Demon who lived in a cave in the forests, but they could not get the Golden Bird. Anybody who went close to the cave was taken prisoner by the Demon. A lot of King’s soldiers were imprisoned by the Demon. But still they could not get the Golden Bird. On hearing all this Princess Nia was very disappointed.
The King and Queen could not see their daughter sad. So King made an announcement that whoever would bring the Golden Bird would be 10000 gold coins as reward. A lot of people attempted to bring the golden bird but all were taken prisoners.

One day the Prince of Arah, Prince Philip, came to know about it. Philip was very strong, brave and intelligent. He decided to get the Golden Bird. He went alone to the cave fought the Demon. After 11 days of fighting Philip killed the Demon and released all the prisoners. He took the golden bird and returned to Taxila with all of them. There were celebrations in Taxila and everybody was very happy. Philip was  a hero in Taxila.

Prince Philip  gave Princess Nia the Golden Bird.Princess Nia was impressed by Philip  his bravery and fell in love with him.

They both got married and lived happily ever after.
